Collected Articles on the Peace Processes in the Philippines, 1990–2007
Still in print: the link goes to a shop that sells it.
Essays written across two decades of the Philippine peace processes, with the Moro fronts and with the communists, by the scholar who would chair the panel that signed the Comprehensive Agreement.
Miriam Coronel-Ferrer, a political science professor at the University of the Philippines Diliman, collects her articles on the Philippine peace processes from 1990 to 2007. The publisher describes them as covering the first 2 decades of armed conflict and peacebuilding after Marcos. They assess the major armed conflicts and the talks with the Moro fronts and the communist rebels under successive presidents. They also cover the part played by civil society, the integration of former combatants into society, and the unfinished business of regional autonomy in Mindanao.
The book came out from the University of the Philippines Press in 2013. By then the author had joined the government panel negotiating with the MILF in 2010 and had become its chief negotiator in December 2012.
